What Model Aviation Can Do
Gary Webb's journey into model aviation led him to discover the Tuskegee Airmen, the first black military pilots of WWII. Inspired by their legacy, he created a P-51D model reflecting their colors. After engaging with retired Gen. B.O. Davis Jr. and showcasing the model at various events, Webb met Lt. Clifford Brown, a Tuskegee Airman, who invited him to an honoring event. There, he connected with many Airmen, deepening his appreciation for their contributions, especially through friendships like that with Lt. Col. Charles Williams.
