Carl Mohs (5024 Lake Mendota Dr., Madison WI 53705) built his 50-inch-span Gipsy Moth from September 1994 MA plans. Power is an O.S. 20 four-stroke. The four-channel radio has Hitec servos and an Airtronics transmitter. The model is patterned after the aircraft used in the Robert Redford/Meryl Streep movie Out of Africa. "It took me 88 hours to complete a very nice kit," he wrote. "I entered it in the Alaska State Fair this fall and it took second place in the open class/kit division." Dan is especially proud of the tissue trim: "It's not painted."
