A MAJOR PROBLEM faced by many beginning RC fliers is the lack of availability of fresh glow plug starting batteries. Unfortunately, these particular batteries were made to do just one thing-make glow plugs glow. That's not a popular function, compared to lighting flashlights or running transistor radios. Since they don't sell many of them, stores, even hobby shops, tend not to carry the glow plug batteries. And if you do find one, half its life is usually spent just from sitting on the shelf. Few things are more frustrating than trying to start a new engine with a stale battery.
