Worth a Closer Look
Trans Caddy
If you've ever wanted a transmitter case but didn't want one with a high price tag, Du-Bro's Trans Caddy may be what you're looking for.
The Trans Caddy is a one-piece clamshell design, which is vacuum-formed clear plastic. Its design will accommodate a wide variety of transmitters as large as 7½ inches wide and 3¼ inches deep (including the sticks).
A handle is molded into the top, and the caddy weighs just less than four ounces.
Although it's not waterproof, the Trans Caddy has eight snaps positioned around the edge that will keep the caddy closed, protecting your transmitter from dust, debris, or even a light rain at the field.
Because of its small size and see-through design, it's quite handy to use while working in the shop. No more dusting off your transmitters after sanding!

Painted Pilots
Are you looking for an alternative to the same, old boring pilots? If so, look at the line of prepainted pilots from Polk's Hobbies.
Not only are these pilots highly detailed, but they are available in a wide variety of styles: civilian, sport, military, men, women, World War I, World War II, jet, various nationalities, and even some with swiveling heads.
The pilot shown is referred to as "Emiel," and he is 1/6 scale. He is molded as a single piece of plastic and weighs 1½ ounces. The shoulder-to-shoulder width is two inches, and the overall height is 1 13/16 inches.
Under the pilot's base is a 3/16-inch-diameter hole in which a dowel could be glued, giving you the ability to move the pilot left and right by connecting it to your rudder servo.
The pilots come in many sizes to fit most aircraft—1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, and 1/6 scale.

In-Line Fuel Filter
Why not add a bit of color to your flight box or airplane with Du-Bro's anodized In-Line Fuel Filters?
These popular items are available in three sporty colors: red, blue, and purple.
Their hex design makes opening and cleaning the filters a snap. Each filter incorporates an O-ring to stop leaks and two barbs on each end to ensure a good, tight grip on the fuel tubing.
The In-Line Fuel Filters can be used for glow fuel or gasoline.
Power Plane™
Removing wood stock from modeling projects required a great deal of time and effort—until now. With the Great Planes Power Plane™, this tedious task can be completed in just a few minutes, with zero exertion.
Modelers simply set the depth of cut adjustment, plug it in, and the Power Plane™'s rotary cutter removes up to .030 inch of stock in one fast, clean pass. And it features a built-in guard that keeps fingers away from the cutting drum.
The Power Plane™ removes material from smooth, flat surfaces with the speed of an electric-powered rotary cutter.
This tool is lightweight and easy to hold, and it's designed to provide the same strong five-finger "grip" as a good sanding block.
The Power Plane™'s spiral-cut drum cutter makes a quick cut and leaves a smooth finish. Cutting depth is adjustable using the thumbscrew on top.
This tool plugs into any 110-volt AC outlet for power and does not require a transformer. Replacement cutters are available separately.

Reproduction Hornet
In the 1940s the Hornet was a technical marvel. It was powerful, affordable, and built to last. In its day, almost every record to be had was captured by the Hornet.
The engine featured a ball-bearing-supported crankshaft, disc-type rotary valve, aluminum connecting rods, and ran at 14,000 rpm.
Although it's hard to find an original Hornet in great, working condition, Woody Bartlett has added it to his line of reproduction engines.
These Hornet reproductions are handmade in every detail, assembled by an expert, and checked carefully at the factory, giving you the most accurate reproduction engine possible.
Also available is a large selection of reproduction engines that includes the Yellow Jacket .061, the Fox .059, the Dooling .06, the Super Atom .098, and more.

Ryan STA
RoboStruts
Robart has introduced a new landing gear made just for the Great Planes 1.20-size Ryan STA. Almost Ready to Fly.
These RoboStruts require only one simple modification—a cut on the wire gear furnished with the kit—to install.
The Ryan RoboStruts add stability and improve ground handling. No more bent wire, turned and twisted axles, or damaged wheel pants.
As are all RoboStruts, these are constructed from TST-certified, aircraft-grade materials, and they are coated flat gray. The 1/2-inch-diameter functional "oleo" action struts give smoother takeoffs and landings than the kit's standard wire gear.
They even fit inside the STA's wheel pants!
The wheel shown is a Robart Tuff Tread, which has a tough outer skin, a softer inner core, and a low-bounce design. They are available in sizes from four to six inches and come with a machined-aluminum hub in a variety of styles. They are sold separately.
Lil' Trickler®
You come home after a long day's work, and the weather is better than expected. You would love to fly, but you didn't charge anything the night before. It has happened to all of us!
The Lil' Trickler® Multi charger from RK Products can solve this problem by allowing you to trickle-charge your batteries, keeping them fully charged.
There is no cutting or soldering involved. You plug Lil' Trickler® into a 110-volt wall socket, and plug your chargers into the Lil' Trickler®. Set the switch to "standard," connect your batteries, and make sure your chargers' lights are on.
After a complete, normal charge, move the switch to "trickle." The lights on your chargers will glow dim or not at all.
According to RK Products, the Lil' Trickler® can stay connected for weeks or even months.
The charger measures 5¼ inches wide, 3¼ inches tall, and 1¾ inches deep. It has three nongrounded outlets for up to seven seven-watt chargers and an LED (light-emitting diode) charging indicator.
