The Stinger Experience
The smoke system on Sal Manganaro’s Lanier Giant Stinger adds a degree of aerobatic professionalism and showmanship to an otherwise routine flight maneuver (the climbout). Aerobatics are great; however, they become spectacular when you add smoke.
This photo was taken in June 2008, on a rather typical, mostly cloudy day at Southbury, Connecticut. I used a Canon 40D camera equipped with the Canon 70mm–200mm 2.8 IS USM lens in mode 2, shot at ISO 500, F6.3, at 1/800 second. —Al Morris ct_djservices@yahoo.com
