SPRING has finally come to the Northwest!
An unusually bad winter for those of us in
the region is over.
I attended the Shuswap Spring Float Fly
at Sandy Point Campground in Salmon Arm,
British Columbia. This was the 33rd year for
British Columbia’s longest-running float fly,
held on one of the best lakes in the province.
Hosted by the Grindrod Airforce Society,
the event ran from Saturday, May 30
through Sunday, June 7. Retrieval boat
“Resque 1” was available all nine days.
This event is one of the highlights of my
year and a sure sign that spring has finally
come!
Please send me reports and pictures of
events in our district for inclusion in this
column. I want to share with others in the
district what clubs are doing across the
district. This is your chance to showcase
your club!
Until next time …
